10 Sites to See in Seoul

If you are traveling in Seoul, there are several different places that you should definitely see while you are there. These are some of the sites that are great for making some of the best memories. Here is my list:

  1. Palaces. Seoul has 5 different palaces, that are slightly different in how they look. Each palace can be something that makes a great impression on you as you visit each one. These typically dated to the Joseon dynasty of the Korean period of medicine (the kingdom before the Japanese invaded in the 1900s). They are definitely worth seeing once. Each of the 5 palaces are representations of some of the developments that have been made apparent in the culture (such as floor heating->so each tour is educational for you as well).
  2. Namsan Tower. Namsan Tower is a restaurant and tower located on the Namsan Mountain in Seoul. There is a restaurant and also a cafe, as well as a few shops there for people to take advantage of. Additionally, the tower can rotate around, thus allowing individuals in the tower a larger view of the city. That can help you to see more of the city, which is great especially at night. The city lights come alive more frequently when you see it at night.
  3. MyeongDong. This is like a giant outdoor mall. There are a lot of a variety of different shops that are available, so you might be able to find about anything you want to buy in this district. Be prepared, there is a lot of walking in this particular area. If you are seeking to get a little exercise while you are in the city and in the area.
  4. National Museum of Korea. This museum houses a lot of different aspects of Korean history/art. This museum can be something that helps you to gain some extra information about the culture that lives there on that peninsula. There is a lot of historical items as well as some of the art that has been made throughout the history. That can make your trip a little more educational.
  5. Bukchon Village. This is a traditional village setup to demonstrate what it might have been like a few centuries ago. This can be a memorable part of any trip that you take and can greatly add to your trip to the city. There are a lot of different parts of this village to explore. This ranges from cafes to traditional shops.
  6. Bugasan. This is a perfect hiking trail for those individuals seeking to explore around the city. This can be something to help some of you to see more of the natural beauty that Korea has to offer visitors and regular travellers. That may be something to consider on your next trip to the city.
  7. Itaewon. Itaewon is the perfect version of shopping in Korea. This particular area of the city is geared more for the expat community and can greatly help towards finding a deal on some traditional or off-brand items. This can be something that you can consider visiting. There are a lot of bars and clubs as well, that can be something to go hang out at.
  8. Namdaemun Market. This outdoor market can help you to be able to find other deals or some food that you can use towards finding some interesting types of foods that you can use for cooking. That is something that I think you'll be able to enjoy if you are staying a little longer term.
  9. Cheonggyecheon Stream. Taking a walk along this river can be a great and relaxing thing that you take while you are trying to unwind from a busy day. The stream is also something that you can visit with that special someone to make it more memorable for yourself or for them.
  10. Insadong. This is an area dedicated to the more crafty things that you will find in the city. There are a lot of different things that you'll be able to find here ranging from little knickknacks to something a lot better. These can be great for taking little gifts home to those individuals that were not able to travel with you to the city of Seoul.

@everythingdazzles, yes Seoul is amazing. Having been there, there is always something to do. For someone like me who is a little ADHD, I find it great cause I never get bored.
